I saw the movie yesterday and trust me guys the movie is awesome. Captain Jack Sparrow is so sexy. The movie is really interesting and hey! there's is a part three! Johnny Dep is brilliant. I totally recommend this movie, I'm going to buy it when the dvd comes in the market. It's a must have!

I didn't like it much. Visually it is oustanding, really great. But the plot feels just like an interlude between the first and third. Also the movie felt too long considering that not a single plot point is resolved. Everything that is brought into the movie it's still there at the end. Not much happens. It's not even funny, same old rum jokes from the first one. I think the original is great, they should leave good movies alone.

It's a fine movie! It's funny. It does have plot that will intervine with the third movie (this is called suspension). This movie employs the tactic that the Lord of the Rings movies has like unsolving plot to give mystery so the public will feel the urge to go and see the next part. I heard from a dear friend of mine that the father of Jack will appears in the next movie. Awesome, don't you think? This part of the movie is cool. Sorry you don't think the same way. Hey Omi-Chan, I'm not a big fan of part two either. Don't get me wrong, the movie is very good. I found it to be a little slow on action. Not as funny as the first too.
I feel that the first movie is a better movie overall. Like I told you a while back, if the first is a five star movie, then this is probably like a three stars movie.
On the other hand, usually movies that are the second part (the bridge) in a trilogy tend to have some issues with passing and story development. That doesn’t make them bad films. They are films that have to be analyzed differently. When part three comes and all the pieces fit together, I am sure this movie will become more of a four start movie than a three star.
That said, I just can't wait for part three. I have a gut feeling that part three will blog the previous two out of the water. YAY!

Yeah, I agree with the first post. The movie is not that great. Yes it has the unsolving plot thing like Lord of the Rings, but not done in a cool way like LOTR. The movie has its moments, but overall is slow, too long and boring.
I agree that when the third one comes out, it will make this one better. But the problem with me is, that I could watch The Two Towers without Return of the King, or Empire Strikes Back without Return of the Jedi, but I dont picture me watching Pirates 2 alone without the third one.

Yeah, I also found that it dragged a bit, but I liked it. I just didn’t love it like I did the first movie.
I felt the storyline wasn’t something that you couldn’t successfully resolve in the running time of this movie. It seemed like if they took the story and forced it to be longer and more extensive than what it should have been. Of course, we would have to see what happens in the third movie, but there is a slight possibility that the storyline for this movie was split in two at the screenwriting stage to benefit from the current trend of shooting films back to back and creating cliff hangers to assure people will see turn out to see both films.
